Release Notes: Client Chart Checklists
Overview
Checklists allow teams to standardize required steps for encounters, assign responsibility to staff or clients, and track task completion in real time
Users can create reusable templates, apply them directly within encounters, and complete tasks without interrupting documentation
The Checklist panel is accessible within all encounter types and can remain open while documenting, ensuring a seamless workflow experience.
Note: The Quilted EHR Checklists is an enhanced version of Maternity Neighborhood (MN) To-Dos. Although the naming differs, To-Dos and Checklists provide similar core functionality, allowing users to create, manage, and apply structured task lists to support workflows and care coordination.
Checklist Features
Checklist Templates
Users can now create reusable Checklist Templates in Settings. Templates can be marked Public (shared across the practice) or Private (visible only to the creator), improving workflow standardization.
Add Templates to Encounters
Within an encounter, users can add one or multiple templates to the Active checklist list. This allows standardized workflows to be applied instantly to visits.
How to Create and Manage Checklist Templates
Task Assignment
Checklist tasks can now be assigned to an EHR user or directly to the client. This improves accountability and clarifies responsibility for follow-up actions.
How to Use Checklists in a Client Profile
Encounter Based Checklists
Checklists are now accessible directly within all encounter types. Users can open the Checklist panel from the right side of the encounter to manage visit-specific workflows without leaving open charts/documentation.
Active and Completed Tabs: The Checklist panel separates checklists into Active and Completed tabs, making it easy to track progress and review finished workflows
Resizable Checklist Panel: A Resize icon allows users to maximize or minimize the Checklist panel. When minimized, users can continue documenting in the encounter while keeping the checklist open
